Work with us

Help give the world more detail.

We are improving Magic Dekaron's models and textures, map by map: the same world and the same style, with more detail and better materials. If you are a 3D modeler or a texture artist, we would love to see your work.

The art direction

Stylized realism, true to Dekaron.

A bit more realistic, never photoreal. We keep the game's own colours, proportions and layout, and add what the old art could not hold: wood grain, chipped stone, worn metal, cloth that looks like cloth.

  • Textures keep the original layout and palette; models keep their size, facing, bones and material slots
  • Detail where players look: landmarks, town buildings, props and character gear first
  • Performance first: textures sized by need (512 to 1024 px covers most), sensible triangle counts
  • Shape from grey ambient-occlusion maps rather than heavy lighting
The roles

Who we are looking for.

Models and textures come first. Effects and interface art follow; tell us now if that is you.

Open

3D modeler

Rebuild props, buildings, landmarks, weapons and armour with more detail, in the original's size and silhouette.

  • Town and field props, buildings and landmarks
  • Weapons and armour that keep their bones and material slots
  • Blender 4.x, or any tool that exports glTF or FBX
Open

Texture artist

Re-detail the original textures in place: the same layout and colours, with much more detail.

  • Walls, roofs, floors, ground and scenery
  • Character gear and weapons
  • Normal, roughness and ambient-occlusion maps
Later

VFX artist

Skill effects, weapon glows and map effects in the game's style. We start once the effects move to their new format.

Later

UI artist

Window art, icons and the HUD, sharp on today's high-resolution screens while keeping the game's look.

How it works

From your first message to the game.

  1. Apply

Send the form below with a link to your work. It takes five minutes.

  2. Talk with us

We contact you on Discord, talk through what you like to make and agree on a small first piece from the game's own files.

  3. Get the art kit

Every model as a .glb with its bones and material slots, every texture as a .png under its game path, and a list of what is what. Import into Blender, edit, export under the same name.

  4. See it in the game

The team's test client loads your files from its overrides folder, so you see your work in the world before you send it.

  5. Ship it

Each file is checked (it loads, replaces a real game file, keeps its bones and facing) and goes into the next test build.
